Where are the pics?????
-
ha ha ha sorry guys i havent had a moment to get on the net ... yes the little one is home ... i will try and get the pics on later ... wow she wakes us up early but she is well worth it ... she is seeming to settle at night now ... last night she got straight in her bed at about half 10 and we didn't hear a peep out of her and I got up for work at 7 this morning and we still hadn't heard a peep out of her ... bless
A couple of concerns ... she is still gently biting us all the time ... is this normal ... and she was almost fully toilet trained but in the last couple of days has had a few 'accidents' in the house ... i know this is to be expected but she was doing so well and it just seems like a step back.
-
So glad to hear that all went okay and that she has settled in okay - what have you called her?
Our little Rosie came home Saturday and was okay until night time and then all hell let loose!! Just won't settle at all unless she's in the same room so you were lucky that she settled so well. I'm not too worried as long as we all get to sleep!
As for the biting - Rosie is very gentle and doesn't really try to bite much but when she has, I talk to her gently and say NO & either roll my hand into a fist or grab the nearest toy and put that to her mouth.
We have also been lucky with the toilet training from the moment she came home- outside for every wee/poo but I think I spoke too soon as last night she poo'd on the floor (not the paper) and then decided the scratch at the wall & hence - pooey walls - it was only a little bit & today, co's it's raining - she just sits on the lawn while I'm walking up & down with my nightie on,rain mac & shoes trying to coax her to move to get her bowels moving before I will let her in - the neighbours must think I'm having a funny turn - it's all good fun though. So let us know how you get on. Where did she sleep at night - was she in a crate or what?
Anyway, look forward to seeing the pics, of course, when you can get a minute :005:
-
she sleeps in a play pen whilst the crate is on order ... takes up most of the dining room but just keeps her away from the skirting boards, walls etc ... she hasnt started to chew these yet but im sure she will in time ...
-
biting is totally normal!! There are a couple of other threads running at the moment on the subject.
Don't forget they can't hold their bladder or bowels all night when they are so small, so If you want them to go outside you will have to get up a couple of times in the night.
-
Yeah I no that ... We put paper down for her and she always goes on there ...
Just one more thing ... She gets a lot of sleep in her eyes .. Now she is really good at letting us clean it but it does concern me ...
-
ok ... so i now have the pics but how do i host them on here??
-
Instructions here. Post them in the puppy photo section as a new thread.
