Okay, i'm leaving in 1 hour to go and collect the new puppy :D The crates are all in place, the DAP's are plugged in, everything is sorted. Well, apart from the fact that the name I have chosen for him has caused heated debates amongst family and friends the past few weeks and the majority verdict was its a stupid name :lol: Although, I took great pleasure in reminding them all they said the same thing about Vegas ;) So, from now until I pick him up, I have to decide whether to stick with Disney, or pick another name from my shortlist, the next two down being Madison or Memphis :blink:
Thank god I didn't get name tags made up :lol:

I agree, but when people say ' ooh I dont' like that ' it does make you think twice.
I know because I wanted to call my new ragdoll ' Gershwin ' after the composer and everybody said I was crazy, so I gave in and went for Jake instead.
But Gill, Disney is a cute name, there is a black collie cross down the road called Disney and he's lovely! ;)

I think Disney is a brilliant name - if that's the one you like best, then stick with it, he's your pup! :)
You've probably left by now, but good luck anyway - I'm sure he's a little cracker!! Don't forget all about us though - WE WANT PICS!!! :D

I like Memphis.
Mind you I was walking Wilf the other day to his training class and met a lady who walked part of the way with us. She thought Wilf was cute etc. but then said what a horrible name :o

Oh, good luck today Gill - If you really like the name Disney, then go for it. In a matter of weeks everyone else will have forgotten what the fuss is about as they will be so used to calling the name anyway :D

I'm really happy for you Gill, went to your web page and saw Brook Vegas and Dallas. I think Disney is a great name (Diz or Dizzy for short is cute) I love your Rainbow Bridge page by the way. Brook was lovey, bless him.

I think Disney is a great name too, but have to admit that I think with "Memphis" you've come up with an even better one. B)
Do you remember the Mark Cohn song "Walking In Memphis" ? You could sing that as you walk down the street with him...... "When I was walking with Memphis, my feet were pulled 10 ft off the ground"...... not quite the proper lyrics but quite apt for a lead puling cocker pup. :lol: :unsure:
I'll be keeping my eye on the Puppy Gallery for the pics. :)

Maddison is nice - but would it get shortened? In which case it would be Maddy - which to me is a girls name - or just Mad - which again may be very apt :D
Memphis - mmm not sure on that one.
At the end of the day - he's your boy - you call him what you want - it's you that's got to call the name a gazillion times a day :lol: :lol: :lol:

Love the name Disney :D Imagine shouting Diz,Diz Disney over the fields, with his little ears flapping in the wind :D a perfect cocker name.

People didn't like Douglas when I said that was going to be the name for No 3, but it really suits him and now people have gotten used to it they love it. Stick with Disney I think it's great.
Looking forward to seeing some pics of the little chap.

He's home :D and its been very uneventful so far as hes refusing to come out of his crate :lol: Hes had a mouthful of food and just slept the rest of the time:rolleyes:
When I went to collect him, I had expected his breeder to have picked him for me but unluckily for me, there were two that she deemed to have show potential so I had to make the final decision :blink: The other boy was absolutely brilliant - really confident. When we took them both into another room, he was in amongst the wires, playing with things on the floor, just generally being a cheeky little monkey. Disney (Colin's song so very nearly made me change my mind :lol: ) on the other hand seemed a little bit more reserved but not to the point of being unduly nervous. He came out of his shell after a little bit. I would have loved to have taken the first pup but I think Disney's personality will complement Vegas and Dallas very well. Head had to rule the heart on this one ;)
As he's not really graced us with his presence so far, I've grabbed a couple fo photos of him in the crate just so i can prove he does indeed exist :lol: and i'll try and get some group ones tomorrow.

Agree wholeheartedly here, initially I liked Memphis better, but I think that would have been better suited to a black (don't know why), but looking at him, he is definitely a Disney and absolutely gorgeous (http://cybergifs.com/hearts/hbare-hug.gif)

Thanks guys :D He slept the whole night and didn't stir until the back of 7 when I disturbed him by dropping something on the floor. He just lifted his head and then promptly went back to sleep :rolleyes: However, I was still up most of the night with Dallas vomiting - can't win, can ya ;) :lol:
We are off visiting so I can try out my puppy pouch B) :lol: I'll get some photos when i come back - that is, if he stays awake long enough :rolleyes:
Forgot to say that Vegas and Dallas haven't really had much of a chance to interact with him so far. But what they have seen of him, Vegas runs away from him :rolleyes: and Dallas seems quite taken with him ;)

What a good boy! :D When Brodie came home it was Molly that had me up too! I'm sure they have a rota system :lol: . The puppy pouch is great, although everyone I meet thinks I'm absolutely mad, carrying a dog around (dog owners and non-owners alike) some have even been quite rude :angry: . I love my babies little pouch - even if it is roaring red :lol: . Have fun today, can't wait to see more pics.

Im sure he will find his feet today and be more inclined to meet Dallas and Vegas

He really is a little smasher, Gill, and having now seen the pics of him I have to agree he does look more of a Disney than a Memphis. You'll just have to save that name for number four.
Maybe Vegas remembers playing too much with Dallas when you first brought him home and thinks that's why you kept him, so he doesn't want to fall into the same trap twice. :D
I look forward to hearing more tales from the Wonderful World Of Disney, I'm sure this is just the calm before the storm. Then again, I have heard talk of calm , well behaved Cocker pups, I've never believed it though. :lol:

I've added a few photos to the gallery under New Rogues ;) They were the best I could manage - up to that point I thought I had bought a very expensive stuffed toy ;) :lol: He just sleeps!!!!! I took the boys up to the woods today and he just slept in his pouch. Took the boys to Pets at Home and he just slept in his pouch. Can you see a pattern here :lol: :lol: No prizes for guessing what hes doing now ;) He'll be getting his vaccine and microchip tomorrow - that'll wake him up :P

Hi Tracey, I've missed so much - you are a new mummy too! Congrats! Will scroll thru all the posts I've missed to see how you are getting on. I am very envious, but still haven't managed to persuade hubbie that Pickle needs a wee brother.
New house is fab, and Pickle is as daft as ever, infact much more so now! He's a true country bumpkin now, which he just loves!

Make the most of the quiet, Jovi was really shy, sleepy and quiet when I brought him home (like you had the choice of 2 and the other one was into everything), however Jovi is now a right cocky man, not the shy retiring one I brought home :rolleyes: (he's currently in the 'dog' house for chewing the paint off the wall, when hubby only just filled and repainted it!!)

I've just caught up with this....Disney is sooooo gorgeous and I love the name, Dizzy Disney :D
I'm feeling pretty broody after seeing his piccy, also bumped into a lady with a fabulous 14 week old solid black a couple of weeks back and a 9 week old blue roan in Pets at Home yesterday. My girls keep asking if we can get a sister for Lottie but I think we shall be sticking to the one :huh: As long as I don't keep bumping into all these puppies then I think I can stay strong :D
