Title: Working Cocker Owner
Post by: BrianC on December 26, 2009, 02:48:45 PM
Hey all,

Thought I'd drop by and introduce myself. Along with my wife, we're the owners of an adorable two year old (in February) blue roan working type cocker named Matilda. When we got her we were completely new to dog ownership, although we were extremely lucky in having a dog trainer living directly across the road from us (who also has a blue roan cocker - would you believe!).

From the Pinner (North West London, near Harrow) area which seems to have a fair volume of Cocker owners, well at least it does down our local park - although it's that old thing that until you own a dog, your brain just seems to filter out any dogs you see, so that you only notice them once you become a dog owner.

We're getting close to the point where we're looking at getting Dog number 2.

Regards,

Brian

Hello. I have Rufus who is 5 and black and 3/4 worker, 1/4 show. He is my first dog, and has been a steep learning curve, although now he is placid at home and better when we are out. As to second cockers, who knows what the new year might bring!

Hi and welcome to COL! :D

I've got Duggie and Tia, black show Cockers (you posted on their photo thread, so you've seen them already!) Duggie is 7 months and Tia, my rescue, is 4. :luv:

You are right about not noticing dogs until you are an owner, I'm sure I'd hardly seen a Cocker until I got Gari, now I see loads! :005:

I own a one year old golden (ginger) boy called Harvey! He's a turbo bundle of fun and I wouldn't swap him for anything :luv:
