Title: im so proud ;-)
Post by: ebony girl on January 20, 2012, 11:58:14 AM
my pup Gypsy has just cried at the door to go out for the first time ever!!!!!!

Now i know this might sound quite trivial to most but although shes 10 months, she has never asked to go out before. She has been 100% clean in the house since about 14 weeks but only because i let them out regularly and walk them 3 times aday.

So im really proud that my little pupstar cried at the back door, went straight for a wee and poop as soon as she hit the grass.   it makes life so much easier now that she's learnt to ask.

Well done Gypsy, what a clever girl you are  :clapping: :clapping:

(Toby flies through his dog flap to take himself out (which is great) but it also means he can get out to do naughty things as well, like eating the garden or barking at the slightest noise  :005:)

Big well done Gypsy  :luv:

I know what you mean. Maisie is 2.5 years and has never yet asked to go in the garden either. She has never had an accident and goes for hours but we just have to remember to open the door for her from time to time :lol2: so I know how you must be feeling!

Well done Gypsy  :luv:

It sounds like such a simple thing to do but also having one that doesn't ask to go out, I know how you must be feeling  :D  Livie's 5 & still doesn't ask to go out ......but like wise, she doesn't ask to come back in either  ......... I feel terribly guilty when I find her her still sat at the door, having forgot I put her out some time ago  ph34r :005:

:005: this happened to me the other day. I put Woody outside because he too has only just started to scratch or bark to go out (at 14 months old) and then about 10, 15 mins later I said to OH what is that noise and it was poor little Woody looking sorry for himself through the glass in the back door. Whoops, naughty mummy  :005:

I understand what an achievement this is for you. Clever girl Gypsy  :luv:

This is just like Ellie, she just stands at the door waiting to be let out and usually just sits on the doorstep waiting to be let in, but she has now learned to bash to door with her paw if she is kept waiting too long when it is cold.

I used to have a cocker called Rumpole who stayed with my mum when I got married as I was working full time and she was at home all the time.  We only loved a mile apart so I saw a lot of him.  One night mum was engrossed in a film on tv and the phone rang, it was the next door neighbour asking if everything wall alright as Rumpole had been barking outside for a long time.  She had forgotten him.  She had to sit in front of the fire with him to warm him up.

Very well done Gypsy, you are a clever girl.
