Title: Weeing in house
Post by: AnnieLou on February 03, 2012, 12:43:51 PM
Advice anyone?
Polly is almost 6 months and in the last 2 weeks has weed 7 times in the house, always on carpet. Even when she has just been outside. She had been great and even holding on and telling me she needed to go out.
Any suggestions?

I should add, she has also been a bit snappy, not hurting but being a bit more defiant, is it all going towards adolescence?

Could be adolescence, or she could be heading for her first season??

Or she could have a UTI.

It's worth a check at the vets, just in case... and if no infection, watch for signs of season while going back to basics on training!

It's not every wee and I do watch her go in the garden, I do wonder if it could be because one of my cats has decided that she does live with us and has been in more and it's these areas she has weed in.
Need to find threads on seasons, but isn't she a bit young?

Will keep an eye on the amount she is doing as this could be a sign of UTI

Willow would have a few blips in the toileting department when she was smaller and then I discovered it was when the ground was wet outside she didnt like the wet on her bit i dont think  :005: :005: It could be her first season or marking her territory if the cat is now home. Id go back to treating her and lots of praise when she does do it outside.
