Title: Insurance for my Cocker Spaniel
Post by: ziggy9269 on July 18, 2012, 09:14:18 PM
In advance, I am sorry if I have posted on the incorrect area :)

I have a lovely 2 year old blue roan cocker spaniel, Lily, and she is currently insured with Pet Plan. When I first bought Lily, I was paying £35 a month for the top level cover. I got my renewal quote last year and it had risen to £45 a month. I dropped her insurance down a level to silver and it was costing me £35 a month.

I have just had renewal quote for this up coming year and it has gone up to £39 a month. I am in fact paying more a month for my little dog than my car insurance!!!

I was wondering who other cocker owners, insure their little ones with, and how have they been, in the event of claims, etc. I am looking to get a horse soon, and it will only cost me £15 a month. It just seems so much for a dog, but I did not have my previous little spaniel insured, and she cost me an arm and a leg for operations - including a face lift for her ingrown eyelashes, bottom problems and poorly ears :( I would never NOT have insurance cover for Lily.

Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks folks
