Excessive panting
« on: January 31, 2013, 06:16:13 PM »
Archie who is nearly 5 months old and since his play time yesterday when he got really excited and started panting, but he hasn't really stopped it. He's just woken up from a nap and first thing he did as he stood up was pant and has been doing for about 10 mins now. Do you know any reasons why? I'm starting to worry!

Taz pants a lot (he is 5 though). When is hot, excited, nervous, you name it he pants (or barks  >:D)

Hope Archie is o.k. today though - it may just be the way he is but as ever if you are still concerned give the vets a visit.

Could it be teeth pushing through? Just a thought....hth. Mine is doing more panting than normal, but he's showing classic teething symptoms also. Just keep showing the water bowl to him, and he gets frozen carrots too. I also just got this: http://www.markandchappell.com/global/dog-puppy/breath-dental-care/teething-gel.html which is helping him.
