Lap dog...why does Otto lie on top of me?

The wee man will do it not only when he goes to sleep like this;



But he'll regularly try to lie on top of my head or neck when I'm in bed and he will very happily just sit their  :lol: Been told it may be a dominance thing, others said its him wanting to be close to me? He's only 4 months...any ideas  :huh:

It's not a 'dominance thing',  it's a  'cocker thing'  :005:  I regularly wear a cocker scarf...

If you look at a litter of puppies, they lie all over each other, it is just what dogs do!

Er, nothing to do with dominance, but probably because he likes it? :dunno:

Just enjoy it now - it is less comfortable when they are fully grown  :005:

When i'm in bed Lovely will literally sit on my head for a while. It can't be comfortable! At that point i pray she doesn't have any wind issues. I love having her on me, luckily she normally lies down after that which is better for both of us!

Stan, who is 10 months and a real hairy bear, is the same, he just loves being close, if he's on the sofa with me, he has to have his chin resting on my shoulder while he sleeps, if he's on the floor his head is on my feet so I can't move and if I'm lying down, he lies across my neck  :005:  If I go upstairs, I take my slippers off at the bottom of the stairs, when I come down he's lying with his head 'inside' my slipper - strange dog  :005:
