Hudson Bramble in Behaving Himself Shocker!
« on: October 27, 2013, 05:38:55 PM »
I took Hudson to see my Mum for the first time yesterday. I must admit I wasn't too keen on the idea. She lives a 35 minute drive away, he's only been on short trips before so I wasn't convinced he'd be calm in the car all that time, she has two grumpy cats and a creative approach to tidiness (aka: definitely not a puppy proof house!!), and his toilet training is obviously still a work in progress.

Well. Good as gold in the car all the way there. Happily trotting around my mums house, wagging his tail like mad. Didn't chew a single thing (despite multiple open opportunities!). No biting, no nipping (only some very gentle mouthing, after which I am mocked by my mother: "Biting? Is that it!!?). Allowed himself to carried around the house and snuggled like a little teddy by mother and sister half the afternoon. Didn't bark at or chase the cats and only stole one mouthful of cat biscuits :005: Put a puppy pad in the corner of the living room as soon as we arrived - which he took himself to TWICE with no prompting, despite being in a strange room in a strange house and out of his pen!! Slept, all the way home.

Would you believe it??  :005:

(I can fully see my mother getting a puppy after yesterday's afternoon of adoration - must show him his terror pup side before then!)
