Fingers Crossed please.... Updated - good news
« on: February 28, 2014, 11:49:44 AM »
Just had to leave Sweepie at the vet for blood tests and xray on tummy.  She has had d & v since tuesday when we originally went but no improvement since then.  They are checking to see if there might be a blockage in her gut - waiting to hear - they said they would ring by lunchtime.
I and everyone in my office feel lost without our little furry friend who goes around everyone seeing what they've got in their sandwiches today! :luv: :luv:
Hoping that the healing thoughts and powers of COLer will mean she won't have to have an op this afternoon  :'(

Just heard from the vets - blood test pretty normal bearing in mind she has had diawosits for a couple of days and more importantly they could not see anything on the xray that looked like a blockage - Woooo Hooooo :clapping: :clapping:
So she is now a little drowsy from the sedation so will ring a bit later about discharge and some antibiotics to try and sort out the tummy problem.
Thanks once again to the power of Colers.
Our little girl will be spoilt rotten when she gets home  :luv: :luv:

Hoping she will soon be feeling better and praying for no op!

Sounds promising.  :D hope the ABs do the job!

Can I come and work with you if you can take your dog into the office?

Thanks for your good wishes.
Collected Sweep at about 3.30.  She was a bit drowsy last night so we had a very quiet evening.  She did however enjoy some chicken for dinner  :D. Bless her she was obviously feeling better and feeling very hungry but vet said to start with "little and often" and gradually build up.  She has eaten a good breakfast this morning with no ill effects thank goodness.
So we are now doing "pill deception" for a few days but hopefully over the worst.
