Naughty Smudge!
« on: January 06, 2015, 10:42:55 AM »

Well the pups are certainly keeping us busy, the only really awful thing at the moment is Smudge will go out in the garden, have a pooh and then if I haven't cleaned it up on his next visit to the garden will eat his poop  :embarassed: of course I try and get out there for every poop but he will sniff around and lick at the grass!!  He never goes near Toby's poop  :o

Puppy Branston helped himself to Minstrel's today, I was busy doing something indoors, went out to the garden - he came up to me and I could smell it on his breath  :020:

Hi  Haven't had this too much but I have read that you get find some poo and put something like chilli powder on it or the bitter apple spray you can get ( a god send to help stop furniture chewing), then its not such a tasty treat and hopefully will put them off.

I have been teaching Branston the 'leave' command, (said in a very stern voice, but not shouting) and lots of praise if he does leave it without me having to remove him physically.

Also we have some problems round here (Lowestoft) at the moment where 3 dogs have died after walking in a particular area - not where we walk, but if I can get the 'leave' instilled, I am hoping it will help if the trouble spreads.
