Here you go, this should point you in the right direction, it is mainly a course that teaches your dog good manners, (i.e. how to walk nicely on lead, come back when you call it and all manner of other skills)and you the responsibilities involved in keeping a dog. Most of it is common sense and you will find you know most of it, especially the puppy and Bronze stages, and as you move to silver and gold, you will learn more. There is a test at the end of Bronze Silver and Gold stages. it is not aimed at being competitive - all dogs can do it, registered or not with KC If you have a puppy under a year old, you will probably start on the Puppy Foundation Course
