We have a new cocker

Hi all,  this is Toby our 6 month old rescue cocker spaniel.  I look forward to life in the forum!

He's absolutely gorgeous  :luv:  Congratulations!  But how terribly sad that a 6 month old beauty like that should need to be 'rescued'.

Thank you for all your kind welcomes! Sorry the picture is sideways!

He was bought by a couple from a garden centre, who lived in a flat!  Fortunately they did the right thing eventually and went to the RSPCA, and said that they were not offering what he needed.

He comes with a couple of issues (toy and feeding possessive), but we have already booked him on a training course with a respected behaviourist in about 6 weeks, to help us give him the best start.

There appears to be a huge wealth of good advice on here, so we are looking forward to giving you reports as he progresses!

Welcome to the forum Toby  :luv: I am glad his previous owners realised so early that they were not the best home for him.  Looking forward to hearing how Toby progresses.

the only thing that we cannot work out is whether is is golden or red.....  the vets paperwork has red and the RSPCA has golden!

Well he's the image of Humphrey, who is "officially" gold sable, (but I don't see much sable), so I'd go for gold!! ;)

I'm sure he must be golden as in the second photo, he looks so much like Rhodri and he's golden lad.
