Feeding/weight
« on: May 17, 2021, 11:22:00 AM »
Hi all!

Max is growing fast! About a kilo a week...it's a bit mad.

Now, we're feeding him the max of the recommended kibble per day (200G James wellbeloved Puppy Turkey) but I keep feeling he's too skinny. I can now actually see his ribs a bit when he runs around. He's 7.4 kilos and 4 months old, a working cocker spaniel.

He also gets kong toys with peanut butter and plenty of treats every day due to training.

Any thoughts would be great! :)

Remember every dog is different and the guidelines on the kibble are just that guidelines

I would up his kibble slightly for now

I have had to do the same with Ash, also 4 month old working cocker

I also give her a carrot (half in the morning and half in the afternoon between her 4 feeds a day
