I've only been a member on this forum for a couple of weeks but it already feels like I know everyone & their dogs.  :(

Oh Gill, how awful for you, but be thankful that you gave him so much love for those 2 weeks and you also had the courage to make the right decision for him.
Its easier if the decision is made by someone who loves him and lets him slip quietly to the bridge with no fear.

Just want to give you a huge hug. It must have been one of the hardest decisions to make but take comfort in the knowledge that you did everything you could for him and that he was truly loved in his final weeks. No dog could ask more.

So sorry to hear your news but at least he had a few happy weeks. It's a terrible decision to have to make and made worse by the time of year. He is free now!
