Hi

I've been so glad to find the COL forum as I'm collecting my new pup this Saturday and the wealth of information and advice here has made the whole process seem far less daunting and even more exciting (if that's possible)!

Our new pup is a black working cocker called Barkley (named by my hubbie after the England and Bath rugby player and hopefully not to become an appropriate indication of the pup's noise levels!) and he will be 8 weeks old when we collect him. We have no doubt that he will be a handful but we can't wait and I have a feeling that this week is going to feel like an eternity...

I'm sure I'll be back, with many many questions!

What an exciting time for you :)  I have recently been through the puppy experience, and i guess we still are as Barney is only 5 months old.  Get lots of rest this weekend!  We all love to see photos so when you get a chance please do try and post some :D

Enjoy the baby stage as they grow up very quickly...

I'm from Sussex too;we have 2 dogs Spike(a lab) & Domino(a cocker).

I can't wait to see photos of your new puppy when you get him!!! :D

How exciting to be picking up your new puppy, Saturday will seem like ages but well worth the wait. :D

Love the name Barkley :D

We have a blue roan working cocker Molly 10 months and little Georgie 10 weeks it only seems like yesterday Molly was Georgie's age.....

Hi and welcome,
I am owned and managed by a fellow black & white working cocker called Jet who is 3 months old.  
He does let me play, feed him, generally make a fuss of him and when I am very lucky I get to stand in the freezing cold and pouring rain whilst he refuses to leave the comfort of the house for a wee. :lol:
I hope you will have as much fun as we do with our little working cocker Jet.
He isn't too much of a handful and gives so much love, we wouldn't be without him.
Have a wonderful wocking time.
