I can see this is an old post but I too have a sproker my 2nd.
The first was rags a dog who looked springery and was black and white. my present sprocker is liver and white again a bit springery to the show type cockers but her mam is a working cocker and shes the spit of her except her colouring, her mams a lemon and white working cocker. her dad was a working dog too.. they had an illicit meetup at a shoot!!
good news for me as they are great dogs, one of the litter went to the army as a snifferdog...
my daughter whos 23 says when she is settled and can get a dog its a sprocker she will be after. right now she has no where suitable to keep a dog.
poor thing. so she comes home for a spaniel fix often... I know its not really me she misses as guess who gets sneaked up to her bed when shes here? pepperoni wobble bottom ! affectionately named as she wags her whole hind quarters when happy. pepper for short.
