Hello all..

My name is Holly and I live in Sydney, Australia. I have two cockers, a black/white female Kistenwales Ice Maiden ADX JDX and a blue roan dog Kistenwales Disco Kid AD JDX.

I do mainly agility, lure coursing and hopefully some gundog working tests towards the end of the year. Also, I would love to give Tracking a go and retrieving trials.

Would love to hear more about working cockers as we don't seem to have many over here, if at all.

Hi Holly, welcome to COL :D.

You won't get many replies yet as it's the middle of the night in the UK (where most members are :blink:).  Unless there are a few night owls out there still surfing ;).

It would be lovely to see some pics of your cockers.  I live in Perth, WA and have 2 show-type cockers, an orange roan called Molly and a chocolate roan called Brodie.  I've only seen one other cocker here!  Everyone else seems to have really big dogs like Shepherds and labs or really tiny fluffy dogs.

Working cockers are not heard of down under are they? i'm a kiwi and had never heard of them until i came to the uk and became 'owned' by jarvis :luv: :luv:

there's lots of good info about working cockers on here, and Mike Smith has a good book on springers and workers (again i think if you do a search on here you'll find details on the book which you can get directly from him).

also check out this site linky - lots of pics and info for you.

photo's of your babies are compulsary - looking forward to seeing them ;)

I'm getting my first cocker (show type) next week.  I also have a black lab, Sapphi, and a golden retriever, Max.

I'm sure you'll soon be addicted to this forum, as I am! ;)

Welcome to COL.   :D  We've got Milo, an 11 month old chocolate boy, who's half working, half show Cocker.  There are lots of working Cockers on this site, so I'm sure you'll get your fix!   :005:

My black and white girl is called Mai and the blue roan boy is Maverick.

I live in Forestville on the North Shore, not too far from Coogee.

How do you post pics ? I have plenty to show you  ;)
