There's a show blue roan that gets walked on the Long Walk from time to time and he is massive: the size of a large springer, but he's absolutely pure blood - and weighs (gulp) 18.5kg. I nearly fainted the first time I saw him, because Pads was only three months old and I thought "good grief, I wanted a smallish dog, not a monster" - luckily the owner said without prompting that he is "freakishly large". Paddy's ten year old working cocker friend he sees every day is only an inch or so taller than him now. He's 10kg but hasn't grown in the last month or put on any weight, but I put this down to the colitis inhibiting his nutrient intake....
