Query re: reducing food whilst giving training treats?

Can anyone help. I've read all the yummy recipes for training treats and liver bread but wondered if you have to reduce their normal food rations if you are giving a lot of training teats? and if so by how much roughly?

Oh 'piece of string' question    Ok - will do my best.  The official line is 'yes' reduce the normal food ration roughly by the same weight as you are using in training treats.  If you feed kibble you can actually use the food allocation as training treats - just remember to do your training before meal times when pup is hungry 

Having said that I dont reduce Dills rations as I'm trying to put weight on him, but Daisy is a bit of a porker so I do reduce her rations

Also - just another thought - its better to do the training in short bursts of 5 -10 mins 3 times a day rather than half an hour in one go

I do reduce the amount of his regular food when I am using a lot of treats for training.  The times I didn't, he pooped a lot...and was starting to put on weight.  I don't measure or weigh it out or anything, but just eyeball the amounts.
