Walking Saffie at dusk
« on: September 13, 2006, 08:07:15 AM »
Now the nights are getting darker we normally start off walking and by the time we are on the home stretch it is getting dark and over the past few days Saffie has taken to barking and growling at other dogs we encounter. She doesnt do it during the day and will play or wait for the other dog to approach. Last night we met two 11 week old Springer Spaniels and Saffie was barking and growling at them, I didnt know whether given the chance she would have snapped at them so I held her back. If it had been light she would have been in her element with two new play mates but is it because it is dark and she can not get a good picture of them she is barking to let them know she is there and not to be messed with?
