Worms!?!
« on: March 25, 2007, 07:29:36 AM »
I think this may be Maisy's problem!  we wormed her over 8 days ago but the bad tummy etc started the beginning of this week and I have just seen half inch long strands in her poo.  they were very still so hoping dead - feel a bit sick now though!

What do I do now, she was wormed on Panacur - does this mean she needs doing again?  she is also on antibiotics for her tummy Metronidazole?

Thanks for your help

Nina

Usually the worming has to be repeated again within 2-4 weeks of the first time as the wormer only kills the adults, not the larvae. being on Metronidazole shouldn't be a problem.

Speak to your vet practice for advice really as they're best placed.

Once I had to worm pups within one week of worming as they were so bad --- but it was done on vet practice advice
