Grumpy girl

We have a 10 week old girl and she seems rather grumpy and is quite vocal . I had a male cocker before and he was just dopey, I don't remember him being snarly as a pup,  but perhaps I've just forgotton with the passing of time since he was a puppy. Are their any differences in temperament between a bitch and a dog?

I would imagine there are bound to be differences in temperament between boys and girls but then there are differences between boys and boys and girls and girls!  I have had 4 girls, all different and now Kali (5th) who is in a league of her own.
