Hi, all
Me again.  Just came home from the vet with Jess, she is much better today and had her last vaccs as planned.  Vet took her temp and said she was totally fine ;D
I explained to him that she still has a bit of mucus in her doings now and again and he advised me to give her half a weetabix twice a day in with her food.

I thought wheat was not a good thing for pups or wheat gluten whatever that actually is ???
Anyway has anybody else been advised to feed this for soft occasionally mucousy number 2's ???
Just curious to see whether the experts out there agree ;D

Replies gratefully received

Hi Linda

Giving weetabix does help bind the motions ...  I give it to my boys occassionally to help with blocked anal glands.

Cheers Dessie,
Only trouble is I gave it to her with her JWB and a little hot water and she only ate about a spoonful of it.  Don't think she likes it very much ::)
Will try her again in the morning as this is when she's most hungry ;D

Thanks for the reply

Hi

We have been giving our dogs weetabix on a regular basis for years.

Once or twice a week for breakfast 1 or 2 weetabix with milk seems to do the trick.

Also when Sophie was a pup her breeder recommended weetabix for breakfast.  We likewise fed all our recent litter weetabix when weaned.  We havn't had any problems and the dogs love it!

Hi all,
I gave Jess some weetabix in her brekky and she scoffed the lot so I'll soon see if it works on the number 2's.

Ta to all who replied
I have a good feeling about this ;D
