No luck Colin, in fact ive already removed all my icons, and havn't got a clue how i did it  Now all i need to know is how to get them all back on again

While your icons are all missing in cyberspace you could save the wallpaper by doing this...

1. Go to your desktop and then click on Prt Scn ( should be on top row, along a bit from the F keys) - this effectively copies what you can see on your screen.
2. Go to Paint by clicking on Start - Accessories - Paint
3. Once Paint is open click on Edit in the toolbar, then paste... and if you've done it right your wallpaper should now be visible.
4. Next click on File in the Toolbar, then Save As ... then choose the destination you'd like the photo to be saved to.

Sounds complex written down but it's quite easy. Good luck.

or if you're using Vista use the snipping tool, you can just draw a box around the picture on your desktop and save it as normal.

If you have deleted it from the recycle bin already and have no other copy of it, then there is only one other alternative which is bring it back via DOS. DOS  can be complicated at times but if you know what you are doing then it becomes allot simpler, you will have to go to www.google.co.uk and type something like 'how to bring back deleted files in DOS mode' and follow the instructions.
