Can you point me in the direction Karma of where it is on the pedigree site. I couldnt find it. I have just sent a very strongly worded complaint to email to purina and want to do the same to pedigree  ;)

It does indeed - this is immensely sane, if a little short on helpful information.... it's a very good starter, though....

Caroline - it comes out as part of the Puppy Post advice.
This was somewhere we joined as new puppy owners hoping it would point us in the right direction - fortunately we also found this site!!  ;)

Editted to add:

Oh doG : just logged on to the pedigree forum and it is full of advice "read Jan Fennell's book - it's really good and will teach you how to manage your dog" - "water sprays will help control aggressive behaviour" - "your dog is dominating you - you need to establish your position as the alpha male"    :-\  >:(

Should we launch a COL invasion of the Pedigree Forum and talk some common sense into them???   ph34r

FWIW - I have just received a response from Purina  ;)

Seems like they have adjusted the advice on their site.

We work closely with pet behaviourist Dr Peter Neville who is well-known in the industry and highly qualified to provide behavioural advice. Having spoken to Peter on this issue, he agrees that the advice no longer reflects current thinking and we have therefore requested that this clip be removed from the site. It will take a few days for this request to be reflected, but we would assure you that it is being actioned.

honestly - with the email I sent them I think it came across quite clear that it was in their interests to respond. I just re-read it and it came across - quite, shall we say, assertive  :lol2:  ph34r
