A new Cocker owner says
« on: October 28, 2008, 08:00:57 PM »
Hi, I have been pointed in the direction of this forum by a friend on a Horse forum !!

Very sadly my little SBT had to be pts 2 weeks ago due to a sudden ( 36hrs) growth of a cancerous tumor. I have had a lot of changes to my life in the last few years and this was the last straw.
I started a fanatical search for a dog needing a new home even put some " companion wanted" adverts on line - - than on Monday morning a phone call from a lady fostering a 3yr old dog, very quiet etc everything an OAP could dream of.  I could confirm until this morning and to my shock she said " could she bring her over today"   - - -  so I am now the proud owner of a most beautiful and unusually marked little Cocker who we have called Molly, she is lying at my feet now fast asleep inspite of a fireworks war going on outside.

I will post a photo as soon as I have found the board rules about that sort of thing !!

Strange being a new member of a board when I am used to being an old  member with 38,000 + posts ( don't get out much).

Wow Molly is stunning - and I can only echo what Beth said about the face-fluff!!!! It is fantastic!!!  :D  :luv:  And I love the strip of tan across her front!!!!

I'm sure she will help to mend the hole in your life left by the sudden loss of your last dog!  :'(

I am owned by Honey (14 month old working type - so no where near a furry as your little bundle!!).

She is a beautiful little dog, you are so lucky! :luv:

Welcome to COL, I hope you will enjoy it here and soon have many posts! :lol2:

I'm so sorry you lost your last dog, what a shock for you, but little Molly will help to ease your pain. I have Gari, an almost 11 year old rescue, who I have had for 2 years, he is such a character and so loving. :luv:

I have renamed her PMD - Perfect Molly Dog she is amazing ansd settled so well, her coat is a challenge, she has obviously been well cared for and well trained (and is a very fast learner) but she has lots of "cotters" and could dowith a trim. She has most unusual "tiger stripes" on her muzzle.

SBT or as she was know on many web forums SBTT ( Staffordshire Bull Terrier Thing ) was a one off and could never be replaced but Molly is going to help me move on after a difficult few years.
