Same here.  This is the 'normal' time for pups to go down to 2 meals a day.

We're trying to do this with Hattie who turned 6 months this week but it feels so mean! We're gradually reducing the amount we give her at lunchtime

Not easy is it, specially if you eat at lunchtime yourself. I know some may not agree, but I found giving mine a couple of small doggy biscuits and a chew knot to eat in their beds whilst I feed me face helps (they are not watching my every mouthful and I don't feel guilty :lol2: works a treat ;)

But I do divide the amount I use to give them 3 times a day and feed them more each meal time, I don't reduce the amount they get per day, they just get it in two meals instead of 3,

We're doing this too. We also use Hattie's kibble for training and as rewards for 'checking in' on walks so she definitely doesn't starve during the day!

Depending on what food you are giving your puppy you could always stuff a kong with it that way you may get some interest.

I have always fed mine about 7am and 7pm. As youngsters I also fed at lunch.

My nutter cocker Scooby shouts at me to feed him from the moment i go down to make my tea and doesn't shut up till he's fed. So can we swap LOL  :005:

6 months here.  Misha wasn't bothered by the change, Roly noticed very much!

I feed both at 7am and then again at 4pm, that way they have a chance to digest before bedtime at 11pm.

Honey never really bothered with her lunch once she was about 4 months... by the time she was 6 months she was literally getting a handful of kibble, which it was then easy to give in other forms (to break the habit of having a meal in her bowl) before cutting out.... we did scatter feeds etc for a while!  ;)
