Hello Ive never done this before so if I do it wrong I am sorry. I found this forum yesterday after being up all night with my chocolate roan and tan cocker called Hector.  He was stung by a Bee and his mouth and eyebrows started to swell very badly.  I took him to the vets and after 2 injections he seemed to be recovering then 2 days later he was up all night shaking his head so the next day back to the vets and was given some tablets for him.  Then on saturday night he was very distressed and started to vomit and the head shaking started again so took him to the emergency vet on sunday and he said the Bee had caused an ear infection and gave me antibiotic ear drops and gave him an injection to calm him down. He seems to have stopped shaking his head but now I have to take him back tonight as he has diaorrah with a little bit of blood in it. So nice to know that there is someone I can tell about this as I love my boy so much. Sorry the introduction is not a happy one.

OMG!  Poor you and poor Hector.  :huh:

I am very glad you found us!  I really hope that your little man is ok soon, it sounds as if he is over the worst of it.

Hi and welcome.

Really sorry to hear about Hectors run of bad luck, i hope he's feeling better soon.  I'm off to the vets shortly, Harley has ripped his dew claw!   he's currently wearing a collar, and is not happy.

Anyway, I'm owned by Flint, Chester both chocolate, and Harley a blue roan, and his brother a chocolate roan and tan, who is blind.

poor little man  :'(  sounds like he had a very bad reaction to the sting

Hope he starts to feel better soon, keep us updated and when he's well enough we'd love to see some pics of him  :luv: :luv:

HI and welcome to COL - so sorry to hear about Hector, he does sound like he's been in the wars and I hope that he is feeling better soon.
I have two monsters Roly & Misha who keep me on my toes (wouldn't expect anything less from Cocker Spaniels).

poor little hector, i hope he is feeling a bit better soon. it sounds like he had a horrid reaction to the bee.

You've come to the right place for advice and support and hopefully, when Hector is feeling better, you will post some pics of him.

Welcome to Col, sorry to hear Hector is poorly, I suppose the one good thing to come out of it is you found this website.  Hope he is feeling much better, love to see some photos.
