Hi all,

This is my first post - I was recommended this site (via Dogpages) and just thought I'd introduce myself. My name is Emma, I have a 4.5 y.o. Boxer called Bernie and my sister Claire has a 9 m.o. Rottweiler called Dylan and was recently given (in a carpark) a 4 m.o. cocker puppy called Prince by a man who had bred them but could not sell the 3 males. We are in the process of buying a house between us which means I'll be living with Prince so will probably be on here asking loads of questions as neither of us have owned a cocker before! Am really excited about moving as I have fallen in love with the little chap and can't wait to be able to cuddle him (and be his 2nd mum) full-time!!

Looking forward to reading all about your cockers.

Edited to say - I've just noticed Padfoot is on here (Hi Kelly!) - she has Prince's brother Ollie...!

Welcome to COL

wow  thats quite a mix you will have! - All beautiful dogs though  ;)  If Prince is anything like the little Ollie we've been hearing about Emma then you are one very lucky lady as Kelly has 'the perfect puppy'  :D

I'm sure as a new cocker owner you will find Prince a delight ;)

Hi Emma

Welcome to COL :D .  Hope you have loads of fun with Prince, cockers are great little dogs.  We are at training classes with a Rottie and a Boxer, Molly loves them, they're lovely breeds.

Hi,

Thanks all for your lovely welcome! Yes, Kelly we're still going to Teckels Fun Day so will see you there - can't wait to let Ollie and Prince see each other again. Prince isn't as well behaved as Ollie but with a little training I am sure he soon will be. He's obviously just teething at the moment which is why he's biting everyone including the dogs but when out and about he's very well behaved. He has started to get the hang of going to the toilet when asked instead of in the house - and uses the training pads at night which is good. He just has so much energy- gives my boxer a good run when they're playing in the field! I have a few queries about other things so am off to the relevant area to ask!
