25 hours to go!
« on: April 17, 2009, 09:05:58 AM »
AAAAAARGH what am I supposed to do to make this day go quicker!

Picking Alfie up at 10am tomorrow, we've been waiting since the beginning of Feb before he was born and it feels like an eternity.

I feel at a loose end, I've wandered round the house tidying but not sure what to do now. Its a bit early to sort the car out....

Get some sleep!  :005:  And clear everything off the floor that you don't want destroyed  ;)

Not long to go now!

Crawl around the floor on hands and knees and protect or remove everything you can see!
 :D

Double check the garden, so you know it's 100% secure...

Make sure you have everything you need for the next few days, so you don't need to worry about going to the shops etc when you have a new little bundle to take up your time!

Sleep!!!!!!

Time  always does seem to go slower when your waiting for something good.Never mind he will soon be with you - when I got my first cocker,I spent the day before double checking everything (fencing, gates electric wires, food, toys  etc   :005: ) Where has seven years gone  :luv:

Good luck for tomorrow, Look forward to seeing pictures of Alfie  :luv:

Oh that's reminded me I was going to get some of those wet wipes for puppies so I don't have to bath him everytime he gets in a mess. Can I buy baby wipes instead? Are they the same thing? Just thought they might be cheaper.

I'll send the OH out in the garden when he gets back from work but I'll think I'll do a couple more laps of the house!

Baby wipes are fine - if they're OK for a baby should be OK for a pup  ;) I think the special doggy ones are a rip off >:(  Otherwise just use a cloth and some mild baby or puppy shampoo  :D

It seemed an eternity waiting for Jay, we knew about him from 4 weeks old, the last 2 weeks only went by so well cause we all ended up ill but the last couple of days was a nightmare.

Pick up all stones, twigs and sweep thoroughly, look for exposed cables :005:  Start as you mean to go on and make sure that whatever you want his routine to be in a few months time you stick to as soon as he gets home.  Don't fall for them dreamy eyes. :005:

Hope everything runs smoothly tomorrow :lol2:
