HI FROM BELGIUM
« on: June 06, 2009, 12:04:29 PM »
Hi,

Great site! Used to have two cockers (pre internet era) but have now got a 10 week old solid black called 'Milo' from a breeder in Germany (He's half Scottish though!). As it's been a while, I'm hoping to pick up some tips from experienced owners, starting with my first question....

Milo is currently on a German puppy food called Waldi, which I have never heard of.  I am trying to find out if I can get it in Belgium, as he seems happy and 'regular' on it. However, if we have to change food, which do you recommend? I was thinking Eukanuba, as we used that for our previous two. When I work out how to post an image....I will!

Thanks.

Hello and welcome.  We are owned by Lola a 2 1/12 year old black worker.

Not sure about Eukanuba, I'm sure somebody will come along to advise.  We feed Lola on Arden Grange which is very good, so is James Wellbeloved.  I suppose it depends if you can get the same products as we get in the UK really.

Look forward to seeing a pic of Milo.

Hi, welcome to Col, you've come to the right place for advice on Cockers! :D

From what I've read on here, Eukanuba isn't a very good quality food. I know that Burns, James Wellbeloved and Arden Grange are high quality and well balanced. I have an 11 and a half year old rescue Cocker called Gari, I fed him on Burns until recently when he had to change to a prescription food for his kidneys, but Burns is the one that I would always go for.

I look forward to seeing photos of Milo. :D

We're here for 3 years too. You'll probably know the choices of food here is limited. Hopefully, I have attached a link to a couple of photos of Milo.

Funnily enough, we are near Mons too and my kids no doubt go to the same school yours did. I guarantee it was better when you were here, but, yes it is pretty good!

We still have friends in the area, and hope to visit sometime. I worked at the school myself for 2.5 yrs and travelled all over Europe with the swim team.
Enjoy COL its a great place  :luv:
