:( Thank you for all your messages.

I am afraid Toby did not make it through last night and the vet rang us this morning to break the news.

He had a virus, but they can't identify which one.  He never really had much of a chance being so young, and couldn't fight this off.  

Although we only had him a very short time, I am devastated (we all are, husband and daughter too).  The only consolation is that he is no longer suffering, he was really struggling the last time we saw him which was heartbreaking to watch so at least he is at peace now.

Lucy - such sad sad news. The fact he was with you only a short time doesn't make it any less painful at all.
