I think Pippa has hit the teenage stage at 6 months.
Pippa has always been a bit vocal i.e at food time, to get Mollie to play with her and while playing, but over the last 2 weeks it has steadily getting worse. She barks alot for attention, which we ignore and to get Mollie to play with her, but also now in the car she starts to scream as we are driving and carries on when we stop, while I get her lead on and all the way to the field until I let her off. When we bump into other dogs she screams when they come up to sniff and then she tells them off, when I put her back on the lead she screams until I get to the car when she then goes quiet. If we bump into other dogs when on lead she barks and pull to get to them, but if they get too close she tells them off. This all seems to be a new thing, she has been well socialised from a young pup but just screams and tells dogs off if they sniff her.
Also this week she has decided that she doesn't want to come right up to me when I call her when off lead, she comes when I call, but then changes direction just before she gets to me. This morning it took half an hour for me to get her back on her lead. I tried running away, sitting on the grass and ignoring her, she doesn't run away, she just refuses to come right up close, so it looks like she will have to go on the long lead for a while. She is more interested in the tennis ball than me at the moment when out.
Pippa has a really easy puppy so far so I think she is going to make up for it as a teenager. Any advice would be appreciated as I really don't know how to stop her from screaming and screaming/barking at other dogs.
