Out and about
« on: July 10, 2009, 04:50:52 PM »
Hi all,

I have an unusual problem with Dylan. He is quite happy walking on the lead however, when someone walks past he is so interested in them that he completely stops, watches them walks past. If they don't give him any attention, he puts his bum on the floor and refuses to go any further.

I have tried using treats to keep his focus but this only works once or twice at the most.

I'm obviously happy that he is friendly but it means every trip out takes twice as long.

Any suggestions?

Thanks
Emma, Dylan and Maggie x

I used to have this problem with Brodie - she absolutely loves people and when she was young she just couldn't work out why they would ignore her . Thankfully she seems to have grown out of it, although she still sometimes does it if it's a child that's walking past ::)

Mine does that too! She will sometimes do it when they are ages away and is so confused when they walk straight past her!
Poppy is now one! Watch her first year!
