Solid Black is on of my absolute favourite colours 

I think he is completly and utterly stunning

He is very cute - and defintely not a blue roan as solid coloured cockers can have white or roan patches on their chests as Cookie does - but did he come from a different litter to the one you were originally going to see as you said before they were only 6 weeks old and their breeder was a show judge so I thought they were show Cockers. I can't keep up!

He is...even though he's got his white bit, he would be considered solid black I reckon   Anyway, he's absolutely stunning regardless of  the correct definition of his colouring

I've lost track of this thread really - you were wanting a show cocker this morning and now have a working cocker puppy - that's a really quick timescale for checking out the breeder and ensuring the pup is fully health checked   

sorry I'm thinking out loud - I'm not one to rush into buying anything let alone something that will hopefully be with you for 14 years plus

And from the breeder's point of view, not much time to get to know the person having one of their precious pups either. Perhaps I'm old-fashioned though - I like to get to know our puppy buyers a bit first

sorry I'm thinking out loud - I'm not one to rush into buying anything let alone something that will hopefully be with you for 14 years plus   

We have rushed into nothing really.  We were trying to have a bit of fun and mislead people a little not a lot.  We did look at two litters and had fully looked into both before we went.  We decided against the show because they were abs stunning and deserved to be show something we had no intention of doing.  It would have been an injustice to the dog.  We have Cookie who is a Worker and she is the most lovely dog so we had no reason to dismiss them.

This thread has really back fired and what started as i thought would be a laugh has turned into an inquisition.

But please, we would not take on any dog whether for 6 months or 14 years without doing our home work.  Jasper is a totally beautiful boy and loved very much.  The breeder told us he was classed as black and white and his papers state the same.  Who am i to question.

Im sorry if i sound hacked off but this must be the only welcome puppy thread where everything has been undermined.     I logged on hoping for oooos and ahhhhs.  But maybe not.
