also people remember that we are in a recession and there are more landlords wanting to rent than there are tenants so we do have some bargaining position.

Oh that's fab news. I hate my job at the mo but if I leave we'll have to rent a property and I know it'll be so hard to find anywhere that allows 2 (naughty) cockers, so that's one reason for staying in my horrid job. Boo!
