Hello
« on: July 20, 2011, 12:53:58 PM »
Hello been looking for a new pup and reading this forum for a while and now..
Fingers crossed, I'm going to see a pup on Saturday and if all goes well will bring home in a week or two.  It's been a very very long time since I had a pup, last time round my two dogs were  a little older and house trained, so I've tried to digest a couple of puppy books and read lots of advice on here.  I now have a shopping list as long as my arm  :005: .  A place reserved at puppy school, spoken to vet, got insurance quote,  anything I've forgotten?

Welcome, I too recently aquired a golden retriever puppy and had forgotten how exhausting it could be.

However to my surprise Dexter is very chilled and happy to be snoozing quitely on his own in the kitchen. One of my previous puppies had SA and was absolute nightmare, so I am really enjoying my boy.

Remember buy shares in kitchen roll, you will need lots.

Hi Steff & Eve,  Went to see gorgeous blue roan pup today and inevitably have left deposit.  Will collect on Friday or Saturday hopefully.  Eve, what's SA?

Now got to plan the shopping trip, the only thing I have got is a cupboard full of kitchen roll. :lol2:

Hi and welcome to COL.    Congratulations on your new pup.  Be ready for a lot of work but it will be well worth it when all the love is returned to you,   We are sure that you cannot wait until you pick up your new little bundle.   Every happiness to you and your little one.  We are owned by a solid black six year old rescue cock er and we are besotted with her.
