why are they rehoming him so young?

I hope I am wrong, but unfortunately not everyone is as honest as you would wish them to be.

good luck if you still go ahead

I agree, I would also be looking for Breeders, Health Tests, pedigree and before making any decisions I would be visiting breeder to view dam and finding out more about these people, for a start why are they bringing pup to you rather than you going to their home   puppy farming maybe
Sorry hope im wrong but I would be very cautious

Hi and welcome, lots of useful info from some very friendly people.
Hope your puppy has arrived safe and well  :D
Like everyone else has said try and look into your pups history, maybe even get him check out by your own vet so you have an independent opinion.
What ever happens let us all know and some pictures of your lovely boy x

Dont think your foolish at all, you are excited and trusting, but possibly a litte naive (sorry dont mean anything bad by that)  :luv:
Sorry should also have said that any reputable breeder would be happy to let you go and see the dam, also reputable breeder would when letting the puppy go to new home say that if any problems contact them as they would rather take pup back and find suitable home reputable breeders take a responsibilty for pups.   :luv:

I think you are probably a little like i was when i had Taz.  I wasnt aware of health test, etc., and Taz's parents as far as i am aware hadnt been tested, although a pure cocker spaniel his dad wasnt KC registered.  No-one thinks you are foolish, I have certainly become more aware of health test, and bad practices etc., since joining COL

Fortunately (touching wood) Taz is a really healthy boy and only times he has been to the vets is when he has been knocked about playing with bigger dogs.  Hope you are as lucky.

You sound like you will give any dog a good loving home whatever, so good luck

Hello from me and Bailey, he is so gorgeous, i had to have him, he is a live wire for sure he is kc reg bred in Doncaster, his mum was a working Cocker, His Dad was a stud that they never met,im sure the breeder will fill me in .I Have his breeders name so i can contact her with the rest of my questions, The lady who had bought Bailey, regrets she bought him as a present for her children, He has a very shiny coat,he has been looked after, they brought his crate and his toys and his food and treats , hes beeen wormed and frontlined to date .what more can i ask for,,lots of love, walkies and training to commence. will try and post photos tomorrow, right now im going for cuddles with Bailey xx

Congratulations and welcome home to Bailey
Now that you have the breeders details I would give them a call for all the background information on your new baby.
Enjoy your cuddles
