It says 1 for a small dog 2 for medium so I just went for 1 as darcey is quite small lol plus it's only a trial of the stuff only got 100ml bottle to see how she'd be on it.

Me too. I think I'm imagining her coat improving already!! I was surprised how much she likes it! She can't get enough of it!

That's what I thought although will be buying from medicanimal not fish 4 dogs as a £5 price difference for 500ml is quite a saving.

Whys that?  :005:

Ive been giving Riley salmon oil virtually since we brought him home, teaspoon once a day, his coat is lovely and soft , it was like that anyway so not sure if its down to the salmon oil or not.

All my dogs get salmon oil regularly and I am thinking that perhaps that could be the reason why Skye's coat hasn't been affected by being neutered... still as shiny and deep red as ever. I use Kronch salmon oil as I have found with some of the other brands I tried, that the dogs started smelling fishy...  >:( :005:

hi

Is salmon oil used as a treatment for older dogs to stimulate the shine of their coat or could it maintain an already beautiful coat in younger dogs.
My puppy Miya is just over 18 weeks and has been blessed with a shiny black coat. I've purchased Ancol shampoo and conditioner concentrate to provide her with the necessary oils and would certainly use salmon oil if I thought it would help.

My Toby is only 15 months and I am giving it to him to try and improve the shine, if I can.  Salmon oil is also very good for the skin and joints so overall, it's good for their health and you have nothing to lose by using it really, even if you do have a shiney coat already.

Well that's good to know, I'll give it a go.

PS. It's Miya that has a beautiful shiny coat, not me :005:

Many thanks, Mel.

No probs.  Maybe WE should start glugging from the salmon oil bottle as well.  Tobes certainly outshines me  :005:

Haven't noticed any smell.  The first bottle I had, the oil was quite cloudy and orange in colour but the new bottle is very clear.  Wonder if that's normal.  (I keep it in a dark place, like they say you should).
