I CAN NOT BELIEVE I HAVE LIVED WITHOUT A COCKER FOR SO LONG .CHESTER(MY DOG) AS BECOME THE NEWEST ADAPTATION TO OUR FAMILY.MY WIFE AND MY DAUGHTER ARE NOT AS HAPPY BECAUSE THEY VERY RARELY SEE ME NOW AS I AM WALKING, PLAYING, OR CUDDLING MY NEW FOUND FRIEND.WE GOT CHESTER WHEN HE WAS 10 WEEKS OLD AND NOW HE IS 10 MTH OLD HE IS A RED/GOLD AND AS THE FUNNIEST LITTLE FRINGE HES GORGEOUS.ANY GOT TO GO THANKS FOR LISTENING TO A MAD COCKER FAN AND IM GLAD I HAVE FOUND THIS WEBSITE.PS IF ANYBODY KNOWS HOW A COCKER SHOULD TRADITIONALLY LOOK AFTER A CUT COULD THEY PLEASE EMAIL ME WITH A PICTURE.HE IS BEING GROOMED WITHIN THE NEXT 2 WEEKS FOR THE FIRST TIME THANKYOU

I have a 3 year old blue roan called Mya .

If you have a look in the grooming thread you might find some photos of what a groomed cocker looks like. Mya doesn't look like that for long, she loves mud and water so I've got no chance of a well groomed dog.

Chester must look like a furry bear if this his first time being groomed.
Photos asap.

The pic you want would all depend of the type of look you want for your cocker Mike, some like a natural long coat that is handstripped or coat kinged and others like a shorter easier to manage coat using clippers. (the majority prefer to handstrip)

You'd probably be better browsing through the gallery and looking for the type of look you want, although be warned you'll be spoiled for choice in there, there are so many beautiful cockers with stunning coats

Hiya and welcome to COL, ive also got a red/golden cocker whos 16 months called Bailey, and i too couldn't imagine life without him, my husband and the boys feel the same. There is never a dull moment with a cocker in your house.  When i have Bailey groomed i tell the groomer i want him to look like a show dog ( she grooms the breeders dogs and he shows them) however he doesn't look like it for long.  Hope you enjoy the site.

Hi and welcome to col, I have a blue roan who is 9 months old called shiloh and I feel exactly the same as you couldnt bear life with out my baby and also love the freedom of the walks, shiloh is being trimmed in a week also first time. good luck dont know about you but I am worried about how they are going to get him to sit still!
