Well, the vet phoned, she's x rayed his skull, stomach, nothing. She's asking if he's been hit by a car, as ALL of his gums are oozing, his hematocrit and heamo levels are very low, and he's being transfused.

She basically stayed on for an extra hour to keep me informed, she's phoning in the morning but is basically at a loss - so please positiive thoughts everyobne - I'm just gutted.

I am just so worried, at least he's in the best place, thanks for all the support. I just love him so much - I don't care what time he gets up at if he comes bac k home. :(

This is so worrying. Poor Hamish. At least he is in the best place to get the treatment he needs. I hope you manage to get some sleep tonight. I can imagine how worried you must be. Thinking of you and hoping for better news in the morning

Just a long shot could it be an autoimmune disease like autoimmune thrombocytopenia (not sure whether this affects cockers but came across it a while ago when was looking at autoimmune stuff in dogs).
