I tried an image hosting service and that just didn't work at all. It will be the weekend before I will have time to play around with this; unfortunately.

Which hosting site are you using and what are you trying to paste in the box here? Most hosting sites will give you a variety of codes, and the one you want to embed a photo here is the long BB code.

If you're still struggling, for simple and easy (and free) hosting can recommend Postimage: https://postimages.org/ (https://postimages.org/)

Once your pic is uploaded, click on share icon and just copy the 'Direct Link' and paste between the image tags (with square brackets) once you've clicked on 'Insert image'.
