Calling all Cocker Spaniel owners - we need your help!
The Kennel Club Genetic Centre and University of Cambridge are carrying out a study to investigate IVDD in Cocker Spaniels. The aim of the study is to develop a better understanding of the lifestyle and genetic causes of IVDD in Cocker Spaniels. One of ours has been Embark tested and is at risk of IVDD.  She’s almost 8 and has no symptoms at all.

Mine had a prolapsed disc last year, which has left him walking very badly but I‘ve no idea if its IVDD or was just a one off injury.  I wasn’t aware of IVDD, so never asked, I‘m concerned now that we could have a repeat at some point.
