It's not the sort of thing to leave in the hope that it will go away -as the more they shake, the further down it is likely to go. Fern's last one was actually lying
on her ear drum
and I took her in to the vets within an hour of her doing it. She was very lucky. GA for her (cos she is a wimp and sedation wouldn't have been enough for such a delicate op) but she was fine -until she did exactly the same thing in the other ear two weeks later

I hope vet has managed to remove said nasty by now and Yogi is feeling more comfortable
.
