What camera Help please

Hi all i love taking photos and would like to have a good camera
the one i have at this time is just a little snappy one (samsung NV3 digital)
the thing is i do not know anything about camera so do not know where to start
i do not want one that is hard to use.
what i want to be able to do is to take good picks of Bob and for when i go to south Africa
to take of the wild life
just thought some one may be able to help me

It is really dependent on budget! Most DSLRs have easy settings for when you are starting out, and then when you are better you can switch to manual. An entry level camera such as the canon 100D can set you back around £200 -300 and a 40D -50D is more like a £1,000

Hubby managed to get a second hand 450D camera from ebay with a good lens, cards and batteries for £200 pounds and this is a good option as it got him a better camera at a price he could afford.
