Accessories for Canon 450D SLR

As some of you may know My OH purchased me a Canon 450D SLR the other week. Well, after a busy couple of weeks I am finally starting to get to grips with it - photos to follow........................

I am just wondering what other accessories that you recommend for this. I am thinking along the lines of bag, cards, card readers, flash unit etc.

I would be grateful for any recommendations for all of you camera experts out ther - I for one certainly am not one.  :005: :005:

Extra Lenses. For doggies photos a Telephoto (long one!) is a must!  :D

I've got a 350d and all I've bought is a long lens 70-300mm. I'd like a 28-135 lens as well though but don't when i'm going to have the spare cash for that. I bought a couple of 2GB flash cards but already had a card reader. 7day shop is a good website for camera stuff, although there doesn't seem to many Canon lenses on at the minute.
I would also invest in a filter for your lens, I've got a polarising filter which was about £40. And a decent lens cloth :D
