Photo blown up and put onto a canvas?
« on: December 12, 2010, 12:54:23 PM »
My dad has a picture on my mums phone that he would like to try and get blown up and put onto a canvas or just to frame it for christmas. But he has no idea if it can be done or how to go about it , and TBH neither do I .

Any help would be much appreciated  :D

It probably can't be done  :'(

I'm in the same situation, I've got some shots I want blown up for OH's pressie, but I've emailed 3 to the company and they've emailed back saying that the picture quality isn't good enough and they are coming out as pixels not clear images.

I was using HelloCanvas - but I assume it'll be the same for any company.

I managed to get a pic from my phone blown up and put on a mouse mat - but I'm not sure if it could have been made any bigger.
I used Kodak.

How many megapixels is it?  Anything over 5 should be ok.  I've had a photo of the dogs blown up to size A1 without problems.  It was really cheap too!

Just go onto www.ebay.co.uk & type in A1 canvas box photo into the search & pick a seller & just send them your photo via email & they will tell you if it's OK.  Then just pay for it!  :D

depends on the quality you want - a lot of the cheaper ones use inferior ink on the canvas which will fade eventually - I like  www.photobox.co.uk  ;)

I transfered a picture from my camera on to my PC then onto a memory stick and took it to jessops photo shop and they made it into a lovely canvas. Hope this helps.

We have used photobox recently for a canvas. It is fantastic quality and photo looks great, it was taken on a fairly decent DSLR though so the quality of the photo was good anyway. They give fab service too and get the stuff to you pretty quick  xx
