Male Cocker Leaving Patches Of Wee around While Bitch Is On Heat

Hi all, Hope this is the wright Section, not quite sure..
Just wan't to know if this is normal really, and wondering why he is doing it...
Basically we are looking after "Baldrick" my dads cocker while he is away...
Unfortunatley he come at the same time amber come into season.. We are obviously keeping them apart, but i keep finding little patches of wee around. Its defo not ambers.
Is this usual, is he just letting amber know he's there.. Im not too sure ..

Yes, very normal. He is scent marking, leaving his little calling cards to let Amber know he is up for the job  :005: Unfortunately, because of her being in season, it will be nearly impossible to break him of this. You may need to resort to a male pee wrap or a nappy for him if it becomes a problem indoors.  ph34r Not fair to scold him though, under these conditions

I had a feeling that is what it was !! I just wanted conformation hehe :)
Its not too bad, we have wooden floors all round so easy to get up
