Title: White Cockers?
Post by: smitten on January 25, 2019, 11:20:57 AM: Being an avid reader of anything Cockery, :luv: I recently purchased a small booklet off ebay entitled 'Colour Breeding in Cockers, The evolution of the White'. I assumed this was to do with the White markings, but on receipt of the book turns out it is about breeding 'White Cockers'. The booklet is from 1947 and is in relation to 'Suntop Cocker Spaniels'. Purely out of interest, (no I don't want to breed.... Just in case you ask) I wondered if anyone had heard of them or has any photos of said Cockers?

I'm simply curious :-)

Post by: Mudmagnets on January 26, 2019, 06:53:49 PM: Don't know if this will help - Spaniels of all sorts are quite a way down the list, once you have found the specific breed - American, Clumber etc.,click on breed and then on the right hand side of the page is list, click on Current Registration Colours

Someone I know in FB recently shared a gumtree advert of someone advertising a “very rare white cocker” for an astronomical sum of money. It was clearly a very young (and very pale) orange roan puppy. The advert was taken down and re-worded pretty quickly. (The price remained the same though. >:()

Her name is Misty and is on a Breed info site for American Cocker Spaniel......very cute and I wouldn't say no to a cuddle :luv:

Quite!! Archie is a very pale orange roan while Mum’s Jade is a very dark blue roan. It’s not uncommon for her to remark on how filthy he has got on a walk......to which I point out that Jade is just as filthy. You just can’t see it!! ;)
